Jessica ‘Jessi’ Rock joins the board of WILDflowers as a highly experienced and certified expert in the field of non-profit management. Receiving her Bachelor of Social Science from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, Jessi was employed with Merrill Lynch. Even working full time, she founded and became Executive Director of the ‘A Small Miracle Foundation,’ which provides childcare services, free of charge, for families in the Dallas-Fort Worth area battling cancer. Their services also include sibling care, for brothers and sisters of children battling the disease.
Jessi has worked with children in various venues throughout her life, first as a nanny and later as an after-school tutor. She also has years of experience as an office manager and, later in her career, as an Environmental Services Director at Alvarado Hospital in San Diego, California.
In 2010, Jessi relocated to San Diego, California after the passing of her grandmother, so that she could help care for her grandfather. It was while living in San Diego that she met the love of her life, Ryan Rock. Shortly after Ryan’s last deployment as a Navy SEAL, she gave birth to their daughter, Riley. Having brought this new little miracle into the world and added assistance from Jessi’s brother to help care for their grandfather, Jessi and Ryan moved from the West Coast to the Third Coast, where Ryan was originally from. Jessi is now back in her home state of Texas, where she devotes her time to her daughter, as a stay at home mom and continues loyally to serve with the ‘A Small Miracle Foundation.’
Once in Corpus Christi, Ryan achieved his dream of becoming a fishing guide and started Corpus Christi Inshore Fishing Charters. The success of his business put the couple in the financial position to purchase a home. After her home buyer experience the upmost professionalism of the Keller Williams Real Estate Agent that assisted with their transaction, Jessi decided to embark on her own real estate career with the company. Her innate desire to help and care for others made real estate a natural fit for her. Grateful for the opportunity to help and guide families and individuals through what can be considered a very stressful time, Jessi makes her clients feel like family and well looked after; from start to finish and beyond.
The WILDflowers Foundation wholeheartedly welcomes Jessi’s expertise and dedication to children and their families. Her knowledge of managing both her career and non-profits are an invaluable asset to our students and Board.
